Completed Cougar

The Cougar pattern testing is complete. Pattern testing is new to me but I absolutely LOVE working with Yanicka, she is a wonderful artist. I'm glad I wasn't overlooked with my limited amount of paper piecing quilts finished. I'd have to go back and look to see if any have been posted to know for sure.

I was surprised that the prep work took me 2-3 days. Tracing templates took a long time and it was taxing on the shoulders if not spread out with movement in between tracing sessions.

The sewing took me 2-3 broken up days. I put everything else on the back burner, EVEN Dinner, because I didn't want to lose any of the 109 pieces of the pattern. Yep you heard me correctly. That number is large but don't let it scare you.

I'm not one to remember to take pictures as i go, so here it is before figuring out what i want to back it with and turn it into a quilt for a nephew.

There is only one fabric i would change so that is a huge bonus.

I like this pattern. It's not something that I would normally use since I struggle with that technique, but I'll check out more of Yanicka's patterns to see what other types she designs.
Isn't it fun to get to test patterns for others? I have to work hard to stay with the pattern--I like doing my own thing! But the few that I tested were fun and interesting.
Thanks for visiting Fleur de Lis Quilts,
Mary
