a little bit of Christmas

My first attempt at a mini quilt. I made it for a friend of mine at church who happened to help my sister move. That is how she ended up at my home on a hot September afternoon and spied WIP that i am making for my mother.
These are the last remaining scraps from that quilt. Is it an off center log cabin??? half of a log cabin? I'm not sure but it can now be used as a key fob, back pack decoration or Christmas ornament

2 1/2" X 3" machine quilted, hand bound.
This gave me practice for the Christmas ornaments that I'm donating for a fundraiser in December. I made 4 fronts but they didn't turn out as nicely as i wished. So i started 4 more. They are better and i'm hoping it is smooth sailing from here on out.
